finally

Finally back :)
It took 6 lost teeth to get back ;) the last time I've reported that Reka has lost her first tooth, and now it is the 6th :D this Sunday AND Monday, she lost her left up and bottom 2nd .. amazing..
anyway, i thought it is a good reason and a nice way to get back to business, and hope nobody will inquire about the reasons of my absence ..
this year is been great so far: finished my thesis, handed in end of last year, just in time to have a relaxing Xmas!
and we are going back to Hungary for 2 whole months! yes!! May and June, the whole months! It's awesome, can't wait, 2.5 more weeks till depart .. I'll be, of course, traveling alone with the girls, which I don't predict to be much fun, specially because in order to save money, Bori is sitting in my lap :( (bc if she's not 2, she can officially or let's say theoretically sit in my lap .. ) well, it'll be challenging, I'm just glad that I'll have my mom next to me when we get home, and I can sleep .. ;)
I'll be busy with first, a second language exam that is required for the phd school, German it is, and then, my final chemistry exam, three topics .. and then a month after the final exam, I can defend my thesis, which is pretty similar to a conference talk setup... public, etc..
so finally, it took me 6 crazy years... yes, lot of people say that I have two beautiful girls, so I should see that earlier than my slowness or lack of focus.. and most of the days it works quite well..
anyway, that's life...
other big news that my sister had her second child, this Monday in fact :D a girl, over 4kg :D :) I'm an aunty again :D first niece of mine :D
and my brother is getting married :D and they are so sweet to arrange the ceremony while I'm at home :D
about the girls:
Reka is almost finished with kindergarten, she'll miss the last month, but oh well, not that there's anything new that she would miss.. and she's excited about Hungary, I think, oddly enough, probably she misses the most ...
Bori is a big girl now, really grown out of the baby period, walks, talks, puts stuff from one place to other, smiles a lot and cries, yells all the time, no intermediate, shallow moods.. she has some hair now, and looks like her dad more and more with every day, just waiting for her hair to be more red ;) and then like two eggs or apples shall I say..
ok, I think it's enough for now, getting late here in CA ;) and some of you just waking up .. in Europe or around.

Our big girl lost her first tooth this morning! finally we are over this too..

recent stuff

Things have been busy here.. September my parents were here, Balint left for Switzerland for 2 weeks, then he got back this Wednesday, Thursday we expected Andras and Nelli, and also we had a chemistry professor, Mike Duncan, visiting UoP. All of us had lunch together on Friday and then the guys left for Asilomar conference .. meanwhile Reka was on her first field trip with the school, and then the "famous" Harvest Festival was on at the school campus this Friday evening..
huhhh it was busy.. :D
anyway, without giving a full disclosure of our programs and whereabouts, here are some recent pictures, and videos ..

finally finished with the curtains, at least the white ones (for the record: I wanted this type: white lace kind of fabric with small flower kind of pattern .. and I couldn't find any, not even at Jo-Anns w their thousdands of fabric.. so my mom was so sweet and got me the fabric from home .. feels like Telki, Hungary for sure!!! and I know it's not typical here, but that's life ... I wanted what we have back at home.)
